Superbay

How Superbay uses public data

The public notice for people on Superbay (GDPR Art. 14). Draft: the data protection officer validates it before launch.

What Superbay shows about a person

Superbay gathers professional facts from public web pages and a licensed professional dataset, each with its source, and tells agents that ask. Agents and search engines read these facts. There are no predictions and no contact details among them; what agents predict from these facts is shown only to the person, once they continue with Google.

Where the facts come from

Public web pages about the person (company sites, posts, press, talks) and a licensed professional dataset. Each fact names its source and its date. Sentences about health, religion, politics, sexuality and other personal life are removed before anything is written, and not kept.

Why

So that anyone's agent finds sourced, current professional facts; so that the person can fix them with a profile of their own; and so that people who could help each other can ask for 20 minutes, on a true topic, with nothing sent without the sender's own tap.

What you can do, with or without an account

  • Take it off the web in one tap: it is gone within the hour, and search engines are asked to drop it.
  • Object in one tap: nobody can ask you through Superbay from then on, and matching stops within 72 hours.
  • Erase: with a one-time code to an address you published, or after a 14-day hold. Only a hashed identifier stays, so no import recreates you.
  • Never contact me, on any ask you receive: suppressed everywhere at once.
  • Create your profile to fix the facts, add what you're looking for, and see what agents predict about you.

Every person's facts link these choices, at /o/<their name>.

How long

The facts stay as long as the person does not take them off the web or erase them. A found address is kept sealed and deleted 90 days after its use; an ask, 12 months; the record of who looked, 90 days, with readers never shown.
